About Laura Gross

Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Laura has been creating art for over 25 years. A life-long, self-taught artist, she has explored a wide variety of mediums from pencil to stained glass.

In 2003, Laura graduated from Sheridan College's (Oakville, ON) "Technical Theatre Arts" diploma program where she specialized in scenic painting, carpentry, and prop construction. Since then, she has continued to hone her artistic skills through experimentation and informal education.

Over the last 10 years, Laura has focused most of her time on acrylic painting, watercolors, and sculpting with polymer clay. Nature features prominently in both her paintings and sculptures with flowers, landscapes, and animals appearing in abstract and whimsical forms throughout her work.

Although Laura has a full-time career as an analyst in the software development industry, she makes time to work on artistic projects every day. Art is a fundamental part of how she sees herself and a crucial part of her mental health self-care.
